HO / Older Spectrum Passenger Cars Lit?
January 20, 2018, 07:10:50 AM
Are these all lighted or  just some?  Is there a number series that specifies lights?  Just wondering if Bachmann always put lights in these cars.

How hard is this?  The tabs hold the shell tight and am wondering how this shell comes off without breaking these tabs.
Thanks

HO / Picture Size
May 29, 2017, 11:37:28 AM
What is the correct size of pictures if I want to show some?    I tried before and was rejected because they were too big.   The error pops up saying 192KB is the maximum size.  How does this compute on my camera's image mode, say 4000 x 3000?

HO / Spectrum Passenger Car Truck Sticks
March 08, 2017, 08:40:23 PM
I just got this Spectrum Passenger car and 1 truck will just kinda lock, not move sideways like something is stuck. It is slight but enough to derail on a curve or turnout. Problem is, I can't see anything in there.  This is the truck that's connected to the coupler where they both move in unison.  The other truck seems ok.   Was/is this a problem with Spectrum passenger cars or just a random bad truck?  The shell seems like it's on there pretty good so I don't know how to look inside.

Are the tabs underneath the shell easy to open it with?

HO / Bachmann 56' Covered Hopper Hatches?
March 02, 2017, 11:28:36 AM
Just got the Bachmann NYC Covered Hopper #17523 and the hatches on top look like the covers are missing.  3 holes around each hatch look like something where a cover would go but after looking at several different hoppers at the store,  they are all the same on top.  The catalog pic shows it, too.  Just seems incomplete to me.  What say you?

HO / Front wheels 2-8-2 pop off
March 01, 2017, 07:41:05 PM
Got a Bachmann MEC 2-8-2 and the front wheels like to pop off from time to time going over my Peco turnouts.  The wheels appear very light, the slightest bounce knocking them off the rails.  Is this common for this loco?

HO / Program new engine DCC with EZ Comm
February 26, 2017, 01:36:19 PM
Just can't get the engine from #3 to #5.  When I release the stop button, it doesn't flash fast to indicate the program mode.  I followed the directions about 10 times but no go. I have 4 other engines I was able to program but this RS3  won't change.  Stop button stops the train but won't flash quickly and won't program from 3 to 5 . ???
Any HELP??
Thanks

HO / New MEC 2-8-2 Steamer Not so fast
January 05, 2017, 08:41:29 PM
I just got the new Bachmann Maine Central 2-8-2 Steam loco.  Really nice looks and sounds.  Nice slow speed increasing steadily but never gets too quick, just a steady, nice speed at full throttle, with or WITHOUT any cars behind it.  Is this the norm with steamer models?  I like this and just wondering if it does go faster with a program adjustment.  I didn't see it in the manual but I just looked quickly.  I'd rather ask youz guys.
Thanks

HO / Atlas Master Diesel Run on EZ Command?
September 28, 2016, 06:21:08 AM
I have the EZ Command system with 4 Bachmann engines.  I'm looking at An Atlas Master DCC  series H16-44 diesel that is DCC decoder equipped.  Can I run this AS IS on button 10 on the EZ Command controller with the same smooth running results  or must I modify anything?  Bachmann states that button 10 is for non EZ engines.
Thanks

HO / GP 7 Pick ups?? Stops in a Turnout
February 07, 2016, 04:34:50 PM
I got the Bachmann GP 7 DCC with Sound and am curious  to know if  there are pick ups  on both wheel sets?      I have one turn out where it stops 1/2 way on the next track section( a power terminal piece) when going through the curve part at slow speed.   It's fine going straight at slow speed back and forth and also going BACK through the curve at slow speed.  It's just when it goes slow through the curve. It's fine at a higher speed, just not at the slow speed.  I'm using older Atlas brass turnouts and it's fine in the other ones I use.  I did try another turnout and the same thing happened in the same location. Try a 3rd turnout??   Also, the rail joiners at the curve part have wires soldered to them  and there is power on both sides of the turnout so I think the power is ok.   Any thoughts?
Thanks

HO / Walk Around Companion
January 25, 2016, 06:52:25 PM
Is this still sold out and not to be seen again??      It's been a while so I'm thinking it's gone for good or did I miss some news??    Probably all the attention is on the App now.

HO / Bangor & Aroostook Caboose
January 25, 2016, 05:26:47 PM
Would Bachmann make 1 of these to match the GP9 I bought?    You can make more than 1,lol.   These are nowhere to be found except to make my own but I'd rather just buy 1 for the sake of time.
