Please note, this is about model railroading Mr Bach-Man.

Kadee has shut down. No online sales either. I saw a letter from the president of the company. I do not care to post it here.

The Kadee web site says the offices are closed and there's no one to answer the phones for questions or orders, but the Kadee web site is open for orders. But there may be significant delays due to international shipping restrictions because of the COVID-19 virus.

Even though the offices are closed, the web site says they will try to answer questions submitted via e-mail, but 'Sam the Answer Man' will have limited availability. Kadee products are still available while supplies last from on-line retailers who are still operating.

I would expect if they were completely closed for business, that's what it would have said on their web site.

If at first you don't succeed, throw it in the spare parts box.

When and if staff can return to work.

Well I myself would much rather wait awhile for them than the alternative.  Hard to imagine the model railroad world without them .

Kadee is shuttered, not out of business.

Like many businesses throughout the US - and the world, too - they are a non-essential workplace, and thus subject to local stay-at-home mandates. In addition, according to Model Railroad Hobbyist magazine's owner, Kadee recently suffered the loss of one of their key employees (not COVID-19 related), so this whole shuttering comes at a bad point of time for the company. It's impossible to fill a vacancy under these circumstances.  While factory-direct orders may not be possible for a few weeks (months?!?), there are still online sources for most, if not all, of your Kadee coupler needs.

Stay safe and God bless, y'all!
