Hi Ya'll! I know, I know, I stated I would not be posting anything until after the summer but really wanted to share this. Prices for G scale items are becoming just a tad ridiculous which I am sure you all realize especially those of us just getting into the hobby. I wanted a Skeleton Log Car because the log car I have is too modern for the time period of my layout. I am not cheap by any means, but perceived value has always been a guide for everything I purchase. I only see it getting more costly, so I guess I'll just have to build it myself! The only thing purchased besides the wood were the scale Nut, Bolt Washers (Ebay) and chain (Hobby Lobby). Took the wheels off an extra caboose I had. I made the 6 logs. It was a fun project. Not exactly like the Bachmann model, but hey, it sits 7 feet above the ground! Pics for those interested:
