what is the train number? Thought I read that if the train was let's say #7 then it was the 27htz freq.
It it was like 99 then it's the 49htz freq....or did I read that incorrectly.

Loco Bill Canelos

you are correct
if loco has a number ending in 7 then the frequency is 27mhz
                               9                       49mhz

Engine Dale

I have an engine that I am restoring. The item number off the box is 90-0100.
Is there a schematic for the engine which contains the radio receiver and motor control.
Any help would be appreciated.
Sorry I posted this in the wrong place

Well here is the link to the Big Hauler Set instructions, for sets made from 2000 and later.  Most of the instructions are useful for earlier sets as well. :)

So you have a Radio Controlled Big Hauler Set or locomotive and there are no instructions.  Well here they are :):

Hey Bill I have a question about a big holler Suwanee River special that I have seen for sale at a local antique store. They want $300 for it. It's in the box. It looks brand new from the outside. The box has been opened the owner or seller says that the engine does run . I'm just a little nervous since they don't offer a return from the antique store. I've heard the gears can go bad. If so, can you get replacements and how difficult is that?

guys, this is a reference post, and a sticky, it would be best to NOT start new conversations here, otherwise this thread will become useless as a reference.
