EZ-Track connections wiggle room

Hello All

I have a question that I am hoping someone can help answer.
I am looking into creating a small layout with Bachmann EZ-Track, see attached
I have built the layout in AnyRail and am concerned that there are two sections that do not connect in the software
As EZ-Track comes packaged, I am unable to test the connections before purchasing the track

Can anyone tell me how forgiving EZ-Track is when the connections are not exact.
The layout pictured has the part numbers showing, in case anyone has an abundance of extra track and wants to check it out

Thank you in advance to anyone who can help

I don't have the track to test it. Judging from the small amount of misalignment show in Anyrail, you should be fine. I have found that Anyrail can sometimes be "off" a little and show things like that.

It appears you are using a 2" straight from the 90deg crossing to connect with the 9" straight above and below the 30deg crossing. They are too long. I did some checking using RR-Track v5.3, which has a measuring function, and the distance between the straight legs of the switches above and below the 30deg crossing is 10.56". If you use a 9" straight (44511) and 1.5" straight (44592) is should connect just fine. the 0.06" gap that will be left is not enough to affect anything.

If at first you don't succeed, throw it in the spare parts box.

Cutting track sections to fit odd locations is one of the first skills to learn in Model Railroading.  There is plenty of help on YouTube.

This reminds me when I started working on my layout, say 5 or more years ago.  I didn't have the Bachmann crossover and was trying to do exactly what you are attempting to do.  When I finally saved up enough spare change, I bought Bachmann EZ track 44575 and 44576.  What I did find out was that the length started out to be a (minus) problem, but then I concluded that the length was actually a plus.   So, with that, take a look at this past forum concerning crossovers, it might enhance further your track plan.

By the way, what you are trying to do will work, (what Len replied with) just be careful when connecting the track. That is, connect as if you were doing plumbing, i.e., work to toward the end.   I've broken a many EZ track connectors trying to connect track from the middle.

Hope this helps.

On that old post, my pictures aren't there for some reason.
