I purchased a Bachmann 2-8-0 locomotive while in Boston at Charles Ro Supply.  They ran it for me and the sound was amazing.  I'm now home in San Diego and I put it on my layout.  My controller happened to be set for locomotive 053.  When I energize the track the 2-8-0 jumps forward before I can change to locomotive 03.  The engine runs as 03 but now no sound.  Do I reset to factory settings or does anyone have any other ideas?

When you reset your locomotive, you probably deleted the sound files.  Reinstall.

Trying pressing the F8 key on your throttle.  It may be muted.   Also since you said this is a Econami the sound files can not deleted.
