I got a nonrunning DCC j off the bay the wiring was a mess and showed signs of getting wet. Rewired and unstuck and lubed the motor. I notice that it really slows down on my 22r curves and if I hold it stationery it will not slip the wheels.
Is this normal for these engines or maybe the motor is hurting. Runs fine on the straits.

Verily, verily I say unto thee.  Bewarest thou of the pig in a poke known as the used model railroad locomotive.  Knowest thou not of the travails the lamb has suffered in its previous life, from dropping off the table to being a weapon with which to assail the younger brother. Seeketh thou rather the path of righteousness of the new purchase, often with warranties, to avoid the weeping, wailing and gnashing of teeth. Selah.

I bought it cheap as nonrunning. My question is , do they run like this new? Some engines do not like 22 r curves. If they normally does not slow on curves I will just replace the motor with a original.
If this is common to this locomotive I will remotor it.
I like used locomotive as I do a lot of kitbash projects

I did get a new motor. I still did have a slowing in the curves (22r ) here is what I found. The sides rods order did not match the exploded view on Bachmann s site and this caused the rode between the 3rd and 4 the driver to rub on the brake rigging. I changed the rod to the correct order on the 3 Rd driver and installed a spacer on the fourth. This helped until the valve gear acentric came loose and jammed but I am fixing this.
I wanted to add the the Bachmann parts person was very helpful in ordering a new motor as the original is not in stock.  I used the DCC sound version but swapped the worm gear.
