Pulled out my brand new Bachmann G scale Climax with, "DCC and Sound."  Switched on the DCC switch under smokebox door.  Cannot get my ESU CabControl DCC to recognize it.  Is there an incompatibility issue with these?  I can deal with some basic DCC programming, but if this needs to be complicated, (or won't work at all), I'll look into better electronics in the Climax.  I tried it briefly with analog power pack, (switched to that), and it wants to run and produce sound. Thanks for comments.

did it really come with DCC? or is it "DCC ready"??

look inside and see what is plugged into the socket, I think it is NOT DCC...

Hi Greg:
I got a couple years ago when supply was still good.  One is 85093, Clear Lake Lbr., "DCC Ready."
This one in question now is 86097, painted, unlettered, white stripe on running boards.  "DCC/Sound On Board."
I'll try to get down there tomorrow or so to remove the coal bunker/water tank.  Both these are newer versions with the taller bunker, etc.  I remember how to take the bunker off the early versions, (under tank water valves, etc.), but need to review procedure on these new ones. 
Sound is there on analog.  It's the ESU that's giving me fits I think.  I got this CabControl about 2017.
