Just under three more months before the catalog announcements are to be revealed by the end of January.

For HO Scale, if we can't get a new tooling, repaints can be Splatter and Dodge, or Green Salty. Rolling stock can include a brown 12-ton van, as well as the orange coal wagon and dark gray van from the cancelled 80th Anniversary set. Maybe a green China Clay wagon. Troublesome Trucks #8 and #9 can be coal and stone wagons.

As for N Scale, with the backlog cleared, we should definitely get a new tooling announced, like Edward, Duck, or Spencer. If not, then repaints can be 'Arry and Bert, or Busy Bee James. Rolling stock can include the logoless green coal wagon, orange cargo car, gray 12-ton van, as well as other vans like explosives, Christmas wreath and Brendam Bay. Let's not forget a BR 20-ton brake van, or red coaches.

Narrow Gauge should definitely announce an engine, whether a new tooling like Luke, or a repaint like Smudger, or Proteus. Simple repaints of existing rolling stock like tan and gray brake vans and box vans.

If Large Scale gets more engines announced, they could be repaints like Origin James, Sidney, or Mainland Diesel. Would be great to see a newly-tooled engine, like Edward or Daisy. Large Scale Daisy would go great with the model series Tidmouth Milk tanker.
My wishlist for HO Scale: Stepney, BoCo, Fernando, Norman, Den, Dart, Porter, Samson, Timothy, Whiff, Hiro, Harvey, Splatter and Dodge.
My wishlist for N Scale: Edward, Spencer, Flying Scotsman, Duck, Oliver, Donald and Douglas, Mavis, Sidney, Mainland Diesel, 'Arry and Bert.

That will likely come this November as Bachmann Europe makes announcements for their Thomas line bi-yearly, and their last announcement was in November 2024.

Couldn't see anything Thomas related in the Winter 2026 announcements  :'(

I'm also surprised by this. I wonder why nothing was included from Bachmann Europe this year. Maybe we'll get lucky next year with Diesel, Emily, or other engines finally becoming available DCC-ready.

As for the Trainworld updates, I'm very excited that N Diesel and Sir Haydn are on the water and expected to arrive in time for Christmas. I'm looking forward to picking up both! I may get Paxton at a later time, but Bachmann needs to announce and release Edward and Duck first before I start considering other characters or even the LBSC Thomas and Origin James.

With the backlog of previous years' announcements getting smaller, I have a lot of faith that 2027 will be another big year for Bachmann. Hopefully, we'll get even more exciting surprises like we did at the last NMRA, including Hiro and a new James in HO scale, along with N scale Edward and Duck. And who knows, maybe we'll even see Duncan make a comeback. There's certainly a lot to look forward to, and I'm excited to see what Bachmann has in store for us next year!
Modeler of HO/OO, OO9 and N scale.  Hoping for N scale Edward, Duck, coal wagon with load, an LNER 20 ton brake van, and a new tanker tooling.

Douglas' latest overhaul does finishes next year, so Duncan could finally be possible again...

Once Douglas is out of overhaul next year, Bachmann can finally look into bringing Duncan back on the cards, and actually base him off his real-life counterpart. That would be one way to celebrate Douglas coming out of overhaul. To make Duncan's tooling more worth the investment, he will have to look very different than he did in the show, by actually looking like his basis, with potential Douglas models for the Talyllyn range.

Rheneas' tooling may not be perfect for Dolgoch, but at least it can be used for Smudger, who would be a much better seller than Rheneas in his yellow livery. Sir Handel's tooling can then be used for Proteus, and it's already been used for Sir Haydn models.
