Will you ever make The Polar Express for HO trains?  ???I was wondering if you could make it because it would look cool as an HO. ;) Could you please. ;D

Guilford Guy

Lionel owns the rights to produce it so its doubtful. Just get an undec steam loco and buy some Custom Decals for 5 or 10$...

Use the Bachmann PM 2-8-4 1225, which was the locomotive digitalized for the movie, or an undecorated PM/Nickle Plate Berkshire and some Bachmann heavyweight cars painted Pullman green.  IIRC there was either limited lettering or it was shown to briefly to register.
As GG mentioned, the license is held by Lionel.

Looking at the trailers, the tender is lettered "POLAR EXPRESS" as are the cars, centered above the windows.  The color appears to be dulux gold and I'm sure Railroad Roman would work.  Champ makes "EXPRESS" as one word, and "POLAR" can come from "Portland" - get rid of the "t" and the "d" and move to "r" to behind the "la" - POLAR.

Got a lump of coal in your stocking again, didn't you? ;D

Since he wants the Polar Express, perhaps a pint of diesel fuel.
A license can vary to a great degree.  TtTE is built under license by several companies, but they are all different.  There is the small wood Thomas, large wood Thomas, HO Thomas, O Thomas, etc.
Bachmann once made the Hogwarts Express.  It doesn't any longer, but Lionel has the license and makes it.

Don't forget Märklin made the Hogwarts express, but the set was only produced for use with a  230 Volt Outlet therefor regulating the usage of the set to Germany... However, one could just dump the power pack...

We say no to you again and again and again, because you keep trying to make it happen. We all ready explained to you how you could make a replica of the one in the movies... Did you even listen to what Gene said! All you need are some Portland Terminal, and Railway Express Agency Decals, and some maroon paint and masking tape. Bite the bullet and do it yourself since chances are you will have to wait years before Lionel gives up the license. You need to calm down to...

I'm not even sure maroon paint is necessary.  The trailer cars looked pure Pullman green to me.

In the movie they had a maroon stripe over the windows...
Too bad they wrecked it on that 179% grade when it literally fell off the tracks... Well it should have... I guess it had magna-traction  :D :D :D

the Bach-man

Dear Anthony,
Lionel has the rights to the Polar Express in all scales. We have Thomas rights in HO only. Two different companies.
Sorry,
the Bach-man

If any of these quotes seem to be rude or anything please let me know. When I grew up they weren't and that wasn't very long ago.
