Airfield and Train Diorama's

Good, you guys are figuring out airports.
How about the planes?

This can be something to check out at the toy store. WM has some 1:144 tanks & WW2 airplanes. Most are German, some US, a few Japanese. You may also find some 1:144 scale models. (This may work for Nscale).
You may check out the gaming stores if they begin to carry some WW2 or other items. The popularity of Allied & Axis or Band of Brothers items could yield something useful in your scale.

Just for general scale of things:

2500' runway in N scale is 15' 7 1/2" long (a tiny airport)
5000':      31' 3" (a medium like runway)
12,000':   75'     (a regular runway for the big planes)

Can not even think about this on most layouts. Who has the room to accomodate such a module?

No runways, but an airplane storage area.  I used to live in Kingman, and was searching for info on ATSF 3759, which I will be modeling shortly.
