I picked up a Rivarossi 5104 turntable the other day. It has been around sitting on a dealer's shelve for a very long time. Years and years..
Looking for information as there wasn't any instructions with in ! Someone probably borrowed them long ago, (wink wink).

Like to know whether it used ac or dc to run the drive motor ?
The red control box has one plug with a yellow, green , black and red ..
One side of the controller has two males pins yellow and black.
The other side has two female sockets yellow and black.
Any help would be appreciated very much.

Cheers, Darryl

These were not common in the USA.

Try Goggle.

Look over th box carefully, maybe the pictures will provide a hint.

Most likely it has a DC motor.  I would take it apart and inspect the motor.  A pernament magnet motor is DC.

I hope that you got a very very good deal on it.

You could always re-motor it, and do your own controller for it.

Thanks for the help.

I found out there is an article in the Jan 1980 Model Railroader on the turntable. A fellow is sending me the magazine.. ;D

I paid $50 for the turntable which I think is good since it is only missing the instruction sheet.

Last night I located a roundhouse for this model.

Life is GOOD...
