Well - the RGS No.20 would be my favorite, to be honest...

Bachmann why don´t you go for something more COLORADO-Style,
for example the RGS Mogul ??? Don´t go and let the field to the others...!!!

On30 / Re: ? Heisler ?

Right - that´s what all the folks seem to think: Isn´t it time to bring the Heisler for all the Loggers out there...? Just take the G-Scale for an example and there it is: A perfect Heisler.

Count on me - would buy one or two Heislers for my layout as well..

Happy Holidays!

Well, Soundtraxx does produce them - great stuff, though. Have a lot of their Tsunamis in my Bachmann and MMI Locos, they´re great. Adding them is a straightforward job, lot prepared as Harold already said. Nothing to fear.

The Tsunami "Light Steam" or "Medium Steam" should work well for the
4-4-0. Try www.caboosehobbies.com or try Soundtraxx directly, they run a shop just across the road in Durango, but heaven - can´t recall the name.

Would guess, they will direct you to the shop.
Or look for low price Tsunami´s, ocassionally you can grab a reduced one.

Hi all,

just discussed this with a friend - wouldn´t it be easy to buy a replacement decoder for the Sandy River Forney to use in the new 4-4-0 American ?

Personally I would think this could be a straightforward job, trusting that Bachmann has already prepared the Tender of the 4-4-0 very well (as usual) for fitting a decoder and speaker. My recommendation for getting good results is using the Speaker Housing from Soundtraxx´s range or by producing a speaker housing by yourself - an old pill box, plasticcard or something like that.

Bachmann: Would it be possible to buy a replacement decoder for a Sound Forney at this moment? Or have we to ask the guys in Durango...?

Would be great if you could let us know - would trust there are lots of folks interested in this idea...?

Thanks to all.

No question, all those Loggers out there deserve a HEISLER, thats what all folks kept in saying all the time.

A HEISLER, a HEISLER, we want a HEISLER, Bachmann don´t you listen...?

...and a modern Type, just as your G-Scale Model, if one asked me...

Carl,

great to hear from you. We all keep up to include you in our prayers and thoughts, and please don´t forget to get us all some pic´s on yor layouts progress. All your brothers in the Lord and in this great big Hobby are out there.

I´m just building the No.1 Martinsburg Mine for my layout, comes from American Model Builders. Great stuff from my favorite country.

Blessings and prayers.

Folks, there are rumours (just heard from a Friend on the phone who got word about this from the PSC people) that PSC/MMI will bring out the West Side No. 14 and 15 and probably as well the No. 7 and 8 Three Truck Shays.

Well, PSC did them in Brass some years ago, didn´t they.
Estimated price as I had heard: 675 bucks, oh boy - that´s a lot!

But no reason to stop bringing us a affordable, more modern Shay, Bachmann. You can do this, we deserve one (and a Heisler, though...)

Cheers, folks.
Happy Logging!

Tom ;) ;) ;)

Hi there Shayman, hi there Logging folk !

Definitely agree - would be time for another more modern Type of Shay, slightly a bit bigger than the ol´T-Boiler one. And with a Option for a 3-Truck, why not?

Well, if one asked me -  I would vote for something like the G-Scale Shay or, one of the Mich-Cal Engines, let´s say No8, 10 or 12...

Of course Bach-man: Don´t forget about the Heisler, we may deserve one, don´t we? But a more chunky Shay would be pretty cool...

Definitely would go for the Shay, modern Type, 3-Truck - not only to please the Boss,...

Or - a Heisler, just taking the Drawings of the G-scale Heisler, that´ll do.
Bachmann loves Geared Engines, that´s for sure. So, give all those Loggers out there, some more useful equipment...

On30 / Re: D&RGW and RGS Rolling Stock

Definitely agree Royce, the No.22 C&S Mogul was actually the Loco that brought me to On30. Added Sound and enjoyed. She´s still a beauty and fun to have.

I just bought some On3 D&RGW and RGS Stuff which I´m converting to On30, and right - they are bigger than Bachmann´s, but its not too bad.
Have converted some Bachmann Cars to have a bigger fleet of DRGW/RGS with just a bit of work, they look great.

Well, no question we all should thank Bachmann to give us all this big start.
Without them, there won´t be On30 (or better: affordable O-Scale N.G)

Take care!

Yeah. That would make my day - to hear that Bachmann is going to do some of their Big Scale Rolling Stock in On30 (DRGW, RGS...) plus (I´m dreaming, I know...) a "modern" three truck Shay in On30...

That´ll be the day...
Hopefully, not only for me... :D :D :D

Jim, that´s what I already did - putting O and On30 together, but still miss dual gauge as a possibility to go somehow D&RGW,...

But 2-Rail O-Scale from Bachmann would be pretty cool. Hope, they won´t miss that chance. Keeping it halfway-affordable would be another task.
We all know what kind of magic Bachmann is able to do, so let´s hope we see some more precious things in the near future...

On30 / D&RGW and RGS Rolling Stock
October 27, 2007, 10:17:31 AM
Hi there!

Following the RGS practice to re-use the old C&S Stock Cars, why don´t you think about adding some more accurate RGS and D&RGW Rolling Stock to your catalogue?

Well, Colorado has been always popular and probably will always be. Yet there are only San Juan on the Market with ready to run models, soon there will be Accucraft - Bachmann please take your chance: We Rio Grande Freaks would get enthusiastic about some "real" DRGW prototypical Rolling Stock...

Or - to follow that "somehow trend" - change it to a real D&RGW Caboose with the correct details and cupola...?
