HO / Re: Spectrum climax- another gear problem?
March 25, 2012, 01:05:43 PM
Mine has not had a gear problem, nor my shay. My Climax has a valve gear problem. I can't get the rod offset piece back into the right position to get the rods from hanging up.

I called and left Bridget a voice mail message last week. Still haven't heard back. I guess I will have to check ebay or wholesaletrains.com. I will be sure to warn people not to buy your products in the future; they break too easily and then you force the customer to re-purchase it.

Dropping it is your own fault not Bachmanns. I have a good bit of Bachmann trains and none of them are broke to the extent you can tell and that is my fault. I highly recommend getting Bachmann. The are very good and sturdy trains. Dropping the train is your own fault and it is most likely going to break if it is to high. I also don't think that the warranty covers what you did.

HO / Re: EZ Command use with analog 44212 power pack?
January 13, 2012, 05:30:38 PM
Actually you can run 10 DCC locos on the E-Z Command when you have the extra controller. You can run the 9 DCC and 1 analogue with the E-Z Command alone. I know because I do it all the time. The 10th loco selection button acts just like a DCC button when you have the secondary controller.

On30 / Re: what does everybody want after the Heisler?
October 16, 2011, 08:03:45 AM
Honestly, I figure that, because of the Hiesler in Large and On30, Bachmann will make a HO scale vesion of it. I do HO scale but I do have a few On30 trains. One more thing, about the SR&RL trains is that they are two foot gauge, not 30 inch. If you were trying to scale that with something eles in the normal scales, such as O gauge, you would need to create a whole new track gauge for them to work on. If they made them to share a common track, that would bring on a whole new scale. If I was going to guess, that is why they haven't made any of the SR&RL two foot gauge trains.

On30 / Road name question for the Bach-Man
October 16, 2011, 07:53:55 AM
What area does your "Little River Logging Co." road name come from? I have a feeling I know but I'm not sure if y'all got it from the same area.

Also, if I'm not mistaken, there were train jokes in Two and a Half Men, when Herb had an HO scale layout, and he was as well dressed in a engineers uniform. Charlie and Alan, if I remember correctly, made fun of him for it.

Same producer for both shows (Chuck Lorre).  I wonder if he is a closet train nut?

LOL

I also think we get the Butt of jokes. I get tired of that at school. I also build robots in out robotics club at school and people make fun of that too. I guess that is something that we will just have to get used to. I did manage to get one of my friends to liking trains and that is something funny. If anyone knows about the user "Sly," he is the one. Anyway, I guess we will have to get used to butt jokes. Ha Ha  ;D

General Discussion / Big Bang Theory

If anyone out there has seen the T.V. show "The Big Bang Theory" you probably know that Sheldon like trains and on the season premier Sheldon bought  a train set and it was the "Rail King" set. I was thinking WOW. I thought that it was ironic that he bought a Bachmann train set. Just wanted to share.

Thomas & Friends / Re: Dear Mr. Bach-mann....

I'm sure they are going to make a large scale Emily. If you watch the Bachmann large scale Emily coaches video on youtube by Gardentrains. They mention something about it.

My climax in HO scale has a small problem on the front truck but not with the others. I can't tell what the problem is. It doesn't have a problem unless it has to large of a load that holds it back. They should make the gears metal and not plastic. That would be a VERY good idea.
