Oh right, I thought it was going to be something like changing the size of it. As its just a deck kit I would rather make my own.

I have two of these intended for On30 use, so I will try and see if I can get a copy of the article.

Oh, I didn't know it was a voting thing. I just thought if I had posted my interest in an On30 Heisler many times before, I wouldn't have to again.  ;)

I would prefer a Westside Heisler, but I'm so desperate for one I will buy what ever Heisler Bachmann makes!

I wouldn't be supprised if there was one already in the production line. If there isn't, we will have a long wait to come...

Oh, and a sound one would be nice.  ;)

Wow, that looks rather cool. Stick a steel cab on it and you've got a sale.  :D Infact, anyone want to bash this for real?

I sometimes wish people would stop coming up with these good ideas, as it keeps distracting me from wanting a Heisler!

That has to be the strangest thing I have seen in all my modelling life..  :o

Who on earth would do such a thing...

To save the others effort, its a Climax-Garratt with DCC sound!

Makes me think who would buy this work of Frankenstein?  ???

Besides, it would be HOn30/009 not HOn3 anyway. So it would run on N gauge track.

Depending on how much you want the narrow gauge engines, you could buy and build kits of their prototypes that are available, many have done it before.

Story time, eh?

Virgin Train Company office:

Man 1: So, we have a Class 390 coming in Northbound in need of fuel.

blah blah blah...

Joshua

I know this is off topic, but I just had to say it:

390s are electric trains, and don't need any fuel at all!!  >:(

For goodness sake.

Any way, to carry on what we are meant to be talking about.

I would like to see Donald and Douglas made, but if they did make Bill and Ben, I would buy one despite not modeling Sodor at all. This is because RTR 0-4-0 chassis are few and far between. So even though it would be hard to make, I'm sure it would be a kit-bashers delight to see one on the market, and of course to have a scale Bill and Ben unlike the hornby ones...

QuoteMilan was the smallest 2-6-6-2 built in North America

That might explain why, if it is the prototype mentioned above.

The prototype has a 43' and 9.5" long wheelbase, so does anyone know what calculations I need to do to find out what that would be in 1/4inch scale? I.e. to find out how long the model should be roughly.

Ah, I see you have brought up the dead horse again, I'm waiting for a Heisler too. I hope they made one like the West Side Heislers.

As this has been requested so many times, I'm sure they will have one somewhere in the production line. :)

I hope the sound one will have the correct Mallat chuff rate, as that would be music to my ears.  :)

I dont quite get how they have numbered the models though, as alot of the models share numbers, so you could buy a non sound and sound versions in the same roadname with different numbers.

Would it not make sence to have one of the #42s as #45 or #47?

Im not really bothered as I will only be able to afford one, im just interested as how Bachmann pick their engines numbers.

Now, how do I expand my layout to get one of these to fit... :P

I was a bit worried with all the requests for a D&RGW caboose, as that wouldnt have suited mine or many peoples layouts at all!

However, I think these SR&RL style ones are fab! With so many appealing colour schemes, I cant just buy one can I? :P

Well done Bachmann! I will definitely want one of these under my tree, if not sooner!  ;D

Great, after deciding that it was too big for my layout and too many pennys, these pictures have made me re-concider.  :-\ :P

It may work, it may not. It depends on how TRS 2009 relates to TC3, which I have and is also the latest Trainz apart from 2009.

If its a diesel (says throttle instead of regulator etc. (some people make steam engines with a diesel template)) than it will work fine.

If its a steam engine with steam physics, it might not work due to some of the new features in TC3 and possibly 2009. Symptoms of this is the safety valve going off constantly, and the running out of boiler pressure so the loco doesn't move anymore. This happens with most steam engines imported into TC3 from TRS 2006.

I hope they have fixed this problem. But I hope this helps.  :)

So do you have TRS 2009 or are you ordering it? I would love to hear what you think of it as was due to be a content creator for it, but never got round to it. Maybe for the next one eh?

Blimey, I thought a Heisler could be the only thing left to complete my roster. But I have been proved wrong! :D

Both of thoughs engines would look right a home on my layout. I would definitely buy an outside framed 2-4-2. Even though a 2-8-2 wouldnt fit in my headshunt, I would still concider getting one.
