I can't anser on the passenger cars although I'm 99.99% shure that they are lit. The locomotives can be coverted to DCC, however I would recomend just buying a DCC equiped model of the same locomotive and swapping shells, since it is a lot easyer and you can get the locomotives for the same price if not a little less then a decoder.

On30 / Broken Galloping Goose

Hi, everyone, my first Bachmann ON30 Galloping Goose(in RGS #1) arived today. It's a really great looking model, however running it was a whole different story. I put it on the track and gave it some power, it lurched really badly and made a fair amount of noise. I figured that it just needed to be broken in so a put it at a little over 1/2 power and just let it run. After about 10 minutes it started slowing down(almost to a standstill) every so often. I looked, cleaned my track but could not find any reason for it to be doing so. So I put it back on the track hopping that it would run better. Well it started out but going really slow, and still lurching badly, and after about 2 feet of running it just stopped. I could hear the motor running and with a little help it would run a few inches but it won't move at all on its own. I would asume that it has a split gear. I really don't want to make it any worse so I'm going to send it back to Bachmann. Any-way my question is do I have to fill out the Warenty card or can I just send it back with the reciet? Thanks

I would agree that a new locomotive would be much better. If you do want to fix it though you could just buy one of the Life-Like GP38s(only $10 at Trainworld) and use it for parts.

Well, I can't say that the 2-6-0 does much for me but that 2-8-0 shure looks nice(even if it isn't Colorado ;D)

Yea, with a few detail changes it could easily be a NCNG 2-8-0, and I believe I heard that EBT had a similar locomotive. It would also make a nice larger logging locomotive and would fit in nicely with a stortline theme.

Well, there seems to be lots of insterest in the C&S 2-8-0, I would like to see this model made more then any other. Here's some more pictures.

or even more lettering verity. with the different numbers for any railroad. Not all DRGW cars had the flying RIO GRANDE their entire life as the lettering on them and i see no cars yet to go with the ET&WNC 4-6-0s. So just small stuff like that.
That would be great to see some Rio Grande cars with the Royal Gourge/Moffat Tunnel herald on them. That also got me thinking, how about some C&S cars with the old herald, I mean whether you like Colorado Roads or not that is just a good looking logo. I'm not that woried about the passenger cars as I plan on letering painted unltettered cars for my roster.

On30 / New Freight Car Numbers

Okay, Bachmann here is something that I was thinking would make a good "new" realise for all ON30 modelers, how about put new numbers on the freight cars, sor that we don't have to releater them. What does everyone else think?

Thank you for putting this on. As for models well...
My first priority would be to see a updated 2-6-0 with DCC and maby even sound. I also want(hint!) it to come with the correct tender, and may I even ask a new diferently detailed version to match 8,9, and 10. After that how about a C&S #70 class 2-8-0. These locomotives would be a good start to the world of Colorado Narrow Gauge for Bachmann.

You know these ran on the WP&YR

I would love to see bachmann produce a 2-6-0, however I would like to see a diferent prototype. All the small locomotives avalible are based on eastern prototypes. Not everyone who models the western railroads want(or in my and many others) have space for the larger locomotives that the manifactures seem to think were the only things that ran in the west. I would like to see a locomotive more like this one.

However I would still like to see Bachmann make the B&M 2-6-0 since a 2-6-0 is needed and it's a nice looking locomotive.
Sunset Models makes the M6 and M9 in HO and O. In HO its $650 DC, and $700 with sound, which is a really good price considering that it is new brass!

Maby cheap for brass but way out of my buget.
