I believe so. That's why it was called "Deramus" red.

I think WBB has a real opportunity to fill void that's needed for some of these railroads. If a person models the CNW in the late 60's or 70's, it would be prototypical to also run CGW equipment.

I keep hoping these guys offer F-3's in CGW before Atlas O or MTH, because I will vote with my wallet.

Yup, because they had the same bos. Mr. Deramus, if memory serves me.

Golden State I think. I'll have to grab an old Williams catalog. Nice looking cars and my only passenger cars - so far.

N5TCB: QSL

I think it's time WBB brought those Rock Island passenger cars back, and the Rock Island E-7 engines.

Hey Dom, we'll have to have an hf qso sometime!

Bellevue, Cascade & Western anyone?

I bought the 2010 combo catalog and there was no mention of the Platinum Club.

I don't model traction, but the Chicago Surface lines looks good to this northwestern Illinois resident.

How about something in Illinois Terminal next?

I have the 60 foot aluminum Rock Island passenger cars and they are certainly heavy enough! They glide through my O-45 curves very smoothly.

I haven't run them on the O-31 curves yet.

I've also had good luck with Model Railway Post Office, but I don't know if they carry Bachmann.

It wouldn't surprise me if Bachmann did come up with a compact sound dcc package that could be used in N, HO, and On30. It all depends upon demand of the consumer.

Except for this 45 ton engine, I'm buying engines with dcc and sound whenever possible.

IMHO, dcc without sound is like dial-up internet access.

I was wondering when these trains sets are going to be available and what the msrp will be?

I've been reading this thread with great interest and I think I will leave mine w/o sound. It's a neat little engine and I will enjoy it.

FWIW, I stand by my original comments that Bachmann should offer this engine with sound.

I am looking forward to using my new engine for switching the local patrol (Milwaukee Road parlance).

I agree. I was just wondering in general what anyone's experience was. I just ordered a black unlettered engine from Model Railroad Post Office. I intend to paint it and letter it for the Milwaukee Road.

My next question is how well does this little engine pull? Can I pull 6 cars with it, or 10?

I am definitely getting one, now that I know where to get the sound package.

Thanks all for your help :)
