No. The GP30 has a low short hood and split frame. The GP30 is a longer bodyas well.     Joe

You can add sound but will have to modify the frame to make room for a speaker. Here's a vidoe for a GP38-2 with a similar frame style.   Joe

If you want sound, you can use a Tsunami 2 or econami, Lok Sound, or WOW. Bachamann sells the sound value decoder as well. You'll need a speaker and enclosure. I used the enclosure that comes on the sound value loco.   Joe

The sound value is a stripped down SoundTRaxx decoder. If you're on a budget, it's a good way to get into sound.

Did you instal the decoder correctly? The orange wire is pij 1. There should be a mark or 1 on the PCB to show where pin 1 goes.  Joe

Do you have aloop of track available? If so, run the loco in forward at 1/3 speed for 15 or so minutes, then 2/3 speed then full speeed. Do the same in reverse. This may help.   Joe

Sound value F7A from Model Trainstuff or The Favorite Spot. I dealt with both companies with no problems.  Joe

The tank lifts  straight up. If it's a sound unit, be carefull as the wire to the speaker is short. The tank fits over the weight on the bottom of the frame, so lift up to clear it.  Joe

Remove the fuel tank. There should be 2 screws there that need to be removed. The truck is held on by a screw through the top of the weight. Look at the diagram, screw number 10115.   Joe

Look on the bottom of the fuel tank to see if there is 2 sets of holes side by side. If not, remove the fuel tank. There should be room for speakers. A fuel tank with the holes in it as well as one with 2 speakers is available from the Bachmann parts store.  Joe

So you don't get confused: DC will power the switch motors not the track!    Joe

I would go with Digitrax. If your club uses it, you have some help with problems. The UR91 has been discontinued. If you want one, EBAY may be the only place to find one.    Joe
