N / Bachmann 63754 dead on arrival
June 07, 2021, 07:07:05 PM
I just bought this new Bachmann #63754 Erie Lackawanna F7A with DCC no sound from an online hobby shop in Maryland.  It was dead on arrival.  Loco looks fine but won't respond to any commands from my EZ Command.  I have four other F7As from this same line (SNs #63751-55) which work fine with the same EZ Command and track.  Any suggestions before I send it in for repair/replacement?

Thanks.

I just got unlettered Bachmann #82057 N scale 70 tonner in Bethlehem Steel livery.  Anyone have info on Bethlehem Steel's 70 ton diesel roster?  Bachmann has two lettered Bethlehem Steel 70 tonners with #56 and #44 numbers.  Any other prototypical numbers?  Thanks!

I just bought Bachmann #82058, unlettered N scale GE 70 Ton with DCC in orange and cream livery.  https://shop.bachmanntrains.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=5098

Is the color scheme based on a prototype railroad?

Thanks!

I have bent the loco and tender hook coupler ends several times but they keep unhooking, especially when backing up.  Any suggestions?

Just got this model and was wondering if it's based on a true prototype locomotive.  If so, manufacturer and build/retirement dates of the prototype?  Any addtional specs on power?

Thanks,

March 15, 2013, 03:18:17 PM
To the Bach-Man:

I just rec'd Bachmann #16902, a Norfolk Southern Hi Rail Equipment Truck with Crane.  Is it based on a specific prototype or is it a generic truck?

Thanks,
Dave

Just curious if anyone has rec'd one of new Schnabels yet, specifically Spectrum #80503, red & black with gray load and silver trucks.  If so,  does car come with any road name/road numbers/decals?

Thanks,

I see this item advertised as either DCC ready or DCC onboard.   Does the loco set (1 power, 1 dummy) come in two versions?

Thanks,

With the appropriate I/O connector cable, can an extra EZ Command Control Center (#44902) be connected in series with  a Walk-Around Companion (#44907) already connected to another powered #44902 which is connected to the track,  for a total of three controllers?

Thanks,

I see the DCC ready HO HHP-8 regularly on EBay at reduced prices.  Any predictions when a DCC/Sound HO AMTRAK HHP-8 will be available for order?
Thanks.

I have a Marklin HO #4411 boxcar with center pickup shoe that powers a lighted marker lantern on the end of the car.  I would like to convert it for use with standard two rail EZ track and DCC so lantern will still work like it does on Marklin "third rail" track.   Any suggestions for conversion?

Thanks,
