I recently got one of the American Freedom Train sets and both the engine and cars are really nice. The engine runs smooth and smokes better than some of the more expensive models I have. I'm just wondering if it has a DCC fitting within to upgrade it?

The locomotive in the set is DCC "friendly"- it does not have a plug-and-play socket, but the motor is isolated from the frame. Installing a decoder will require soldering it inside the locomotive.
